Studio
Th&Ma Architettura office was born in 2011 as the seal between architects Clemente and Giacomo di Thiene and Silvia Magro, that have been cooperated together since 1994, both at university and as freelancers. Th&Ma Architettura is a dynamic reality, a flexible organization, with a lot of competences: fourteen freelancers, architects and surveyors, in the two offices, in Venice and in Padua.
The main activity regards historical buildings, looking for their preservation but also for their reuse. The project is developed in all its aspects: the building maintenance, the restoration, the innovation through structural and plant design adjustment, till the development of details and furnitures design. The continued professional relationship with the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the annual assistance to the Biennale of Venice at some pavillions at the International Art and Architecture Exhibitions made Th&Ma Architettura office developed specific competences in museum areas planning too.
A lot of experience has been developed in architectural surveying, intended in its broadest and most modern sense: not only measuring the building, but also identifying the constituent elements, component materials, construction techniques and decorative apparatus that distinguish it.
Specific expertise has been developed in commercial/residential buildings planning and theatres whose design is always particularly interesting for the multiplicity of design aspects that need to be considered and coordinated.
Since 2010 the studio has specialised in projects relating to the fields of graphics, web and multimedia, developing products on traditional media (brochures, presentation hand-outs, charts and panels for stagings) and digital media (websites, dedicated interactive applications, videos), with a particular focus on the creation of a network of associations with institutions and professionals that ensure, in the specific field of expertise, the quality and harmonious interdisciplinary nature of the final product.
