The design of rural landscapes is a critical process that takes into account the natural features and the historic and cultural values of the area. A big space on the outskirts of Mestre opens up between the wooded expanses that cover the land. Without ever losing sight of the relationship with the existing elements, the proximity to other spaces given over to forestry and one of the forts of the entrenched camp in Mestre, the new clearing becomes a point of interruption in the forested land, a moment of visual opening after the rhythmic flow of picturesque rows. This led to the decision to leave the area bare, without introducing new trees, restricting the work to the shaping of the land itself by using the soil excavated from the bordering areas and the creation of elevated pathways to offer a different point of view of the surrounding land. A field with different flower varieties enriches the landscape, making the area particularly attractive throughout the spring and summer thanks to the abundant flowering.
Finally, the main access road to the clearing was redesigned, enclosed by a barrier near the bridge and the parapet of the bridge itself.
